Watercolors

Many professional and informal art critics and collectors have been drawn to Helena’s mastery of watercolors.  Although oils were Helena’s ultimate focus, watercolors were her favorite medium.  One could argue that many of her oils were simply grander offspring of her colorful and unique watercolor style with its many layers and vivid colors.  As drawings were etudes on which she practiced her craft, watercolors were her complex compositions and melodies that inspired her sonnets and sonatas – her masterworks in oil.
